There is nothing more romantic than a love letter. After all, it is a tangible proof of how the other person feels about you. It’s a testimony, a souvenir that you can go back to time and again to remind yourself that the love you are feeling is true…that it is not all dreams as it sometimes feels like. However, who writes letters nowadays right? It was a different era, a completely different time, when people used to pen down their thoughts, and send it through various mediums to their loved one. Then wait for days, months even, in anticipation of a reply. Love thus was very innocent, and may I say, a time consuming task!
it is 21st century and things have drastically changed. Instant messaging, emails and texts has replaced love letters. No matter where and how far your loved one is, you can be in touch constantly. One would argue then, that love has lost its charm; but it is not so. Even in this day you can make your loved one feel loved, wanted and invested in through choosing the right words and being romantic enough. Here are a few tips for making sure that your feelings are translated perfectly enough.
Love Quotes
Simply hook on to the internet and search for love quotes, and be ready to be bombarded with a million, trillion, gazillion relies thrown up to you. There are so many love quotes to choose from. Take a day out and sit down to sift through everything that is available online and make a compilation of quotes that speak your heart and your feelings the best. Text them to your love every now and then and see them get mesmerized!
Excerpts from a romantic book
Is your girlfriend/ boyfriend a book addict? Chances are they have their favorite romantic books, or even certain lines, phrases that make them go “I wish someone said that to me!” Here is your chance to be that someone. Peruse through all the romantic books there are – from Shekespeare to Mills and Boons and collect as many romantic excerpts possible. Now go, bowl over your love! Text them in the morning, evening and night. Send them when they least expect it.
Go dramatic!
Have you ever seen a Bollywood Romantic movie? Saw how the hero and heroine dance around trees, sing love songs and make promises of being together forever and ever! Well, that’s what makes it all so good, right? I know, life isn’t a Bollywood movie, but who doesn’t love a bit of drama every now and then? Take inspiration from the movies and surprise your guy/ girl with some drama. Text them a romantic movie dialogue, or tweak a bit to suit your taste
Be cute
You know which word is most associated with love? The word cute! Love is cute, isn’t it? Its red and pink, glitter and glowy, and cute. So why not you play your part and be cute too? Send little love notes in your texts. Tell them what makes them so cute that you could not help but fall for them. Show them your cute side by sending texts that are innocently cute, and romantic of course.
Good night, good night, and good night again
Out of all the love texts, the best ones are the good night ones. If anything, they ensure that your girl/ guy will be thinking of only you as they go to sleep. Sweet dreams and sleep tight are passé, what we need today is more creative and innovative posts. Say good night in style. Before you call it a day, make sure that your feelings have been communicated well enough and your loved one will only be dreaming about you!
Make some promises
What is love if not a promise of a better, happier, rosier future? Making promises is the most essential part of love. Promises of being together, of being happy, of completing each other. That’s what love is. Why not text the same things? At least, then your love will have something to go back to, read and rejoice!
Go vivid!
Why limit your love texts to just ‘I love you’, ‘I miss you’, and ‘You are my sweety’. Why can’t you be more vivid? Tell your love what is it about them that makes you love them. Text them about their best qualities, and how much you love that fact about them. Text them about what makes them so special, and how much you cherish them
